After z - Dictionary.com s List of Every Word of the Year.

I started this blog to expand my knowledge of children’s books. I did not count how many books I read or how many times I visited the public library (I  maxed my library card once!) I know that the amount of picture books I have read represent only a small portion of what is out there and I have so much more to read but I definitely know a lot  more about them and I can honestly say that I love picture books!

I chose my favorite children’s books from A to Z.   What comes after Z ? I could go back to A and start over again or maybe do something else.

During the month of June I am thinking about it by updating my bibliographies. I also started to participate in the writing 101 challenge.  I am enjoying it and look forward for the daily prompt everyday.

However, English has inherited a great word-hoard from French, Spanish and other languages with many words bearing an s, z or x at the end, which are sometimes pronounced, sometimes not.

As a rule of thumb, adding the s to the apostrophe is a good idea: for example, the chateaux’s imposing walls or Marx’s impressive beard .

In the past adding an s may have seemed  very clumsy. However, style guides are now pointing in that direction, even ones in the US where ideas about grammar tend to be more traditional.

Just set the z-index of #box to auto (z-index:auto) which effectively means no z-index as such and then the child can then sit behind the parent. You will need to give #box a white background colour or you will still see it through the parent.

Note that once you apply a value other than auto for-z-index then it becomes atomic and a child can never go below the parents background.

PS its not showing in Firefox because you have used background properties on the content property which doesn't accept them. Just use the url.
